In the preceding pāśuram, having declared “empirāṉum nī irāmaṉē”, the Āzhvār established that Śrī Rāmapirāṉ—He who is utterly independent and fully capable of fulfilling the aspirations of all who seek Him—is Himself the supreme means (upāyam). Now, in this verse, the Āzhvār mercifully affirms his unshakable faith in that very means.
