எல்லோரும் உன்னைத்தான் நினைக்க வேண்டும்

817 இன்றுசாதல்நின்றுசாதல் அன்றி யாரும்வையகத்து *
ஒன்றிநின்றுவாழ்தலின்மைகண்டும் நீசரென்கொலோ? *
அன்றுபாரளந்தபாதபோதை யொன்றி, வானின்மேல் *
சென்றுசென்றுதேவராய் இருக்கிலாதவண்ணமே

817 iṉṟu cātal niṉṟu cātal * aṉṟi yārum vaiyakattu *
ŏṉṟi niṉṟu vāzhtal iṉmai * kaṇṭum nīcar ĕṉkŏlo **
aṉṟu pār al̤anta pāta * -potai ŏṉṟi vāṉiṉ mel *
cĕṉṟu cĕṉṟu tevarāy * irukkilāta vaṇṇame? (66)

Simple Translation

817. Everyone knows that we will die either today or shortly hereafter. No one lives forever in this world. You see this, O low people, but you do not want to worship the feet of the god who measured the world. Don’t you want to go to the spiritual world and be with the gods?
