எல்லோரும் உன்னைத்தான் நினைக்க வேண்டும்

817 இன்றுசாதல்நின்றுசாதல் அன்றி யாரும்வையகத்து *
ஒன்றிநின்றுவாழ்தலின்மைகண்டும் நீசரென்கொலோ? *
அன்றுபாரளந்தபாதபோதை யொன்றி, வானின்மேல் *
சென்றுசென்றுதேவராய் இருக்கிலாதவண்ணமே

Simple Translation

817. Everyone knows that we will die either today or shortly hereafter. No one lives forever in this world. You see this, O low people, but you do not want to worship the feet of the god who measured the world. Don’t you want to go to the spiritual world and be with the gods?

இன்று சாதல் — பிறந்தவுடன் முடிதல்; நின்று சாதல் — நூறு வயது இருந்து முடிதல்; அன்றி — இவ்விரண்டிடத்தைத் தவிர; யாரும் — எவரும் பிரமனாகவே இருந்தாலும்; வையகத்து — இந்த உலகில்; ஒன்றி நின்று — சிரஞ்சீவியாயிருந்து; வாழ்தல் இன்மை — வாழ முடியாதென்பதை; கண்டும் — அறிந்தும்; நீசர் — அறிவில்லாதவர்கள்; அன்று பார் — முன்பு பூமி; அளந்த — அளந்த பெருமானின்; பாத போதை — பாதாரவிந்தங்களை; உன்னி — சிந்தித்து; சென்று சென்று வானின்மேல் — பரமபதம் அடைந்து; தேவராய் — பரமபதவாஸியாக; இருக்கிலாத — இருக்க விரும்பாத; வண்ணமே என்கொலோ? — காரணம் என்னவோ
