நான்மறையோர் நின்னை வணங்குகின்றனர்

774 வானிறத்தொர் சீயமாய் வளைந்தவாளெயிற்றவன் *
ஊன்நிறத்துகிர்த்தலம் அழுத்தினாய்! உலாயசீர் *
நால்நிறத்தவேதநாவர் நல்லயோகினால்வணங்கு *
பால்நிறக்கடல்கிடந்த பற்பநாபனல்லையே?

774 vāl niṟattu ŏr cīyamāy * val̤ainta vāl̤-ĕyiṟṟavaṉ *
ūṉ niṟattu ukirttalam * azhuttiṉāy ulāya cīr **

Simple Translation

774. You took the form of a white lion and with your claws, split open the chest of Hiranyan with shining teeth. You, the Padmanābhān, rest on the milky ocean, and famous yogis recite the four Vedās and worship you.

வால் நிறத்து — வெளுத்த நிறமுடைய; ஓர் சீயமாய் — நரசிங்க மூர்த்தியாய் அவதரித்து; வளைந்த வாள் — வளைந்த மிக்க ஒளியுள்ள; எயிற்றவன் — பற்களையுடைய இரணியனின்; ஊன் நிறத்து — சரீரத்தின் இருதயத்திலே; உகிர்த்தலம்! — கை நகங்களை; அழுத்தினாய்! — அழுத்தினவனே!; உலாய சீர் — உலகம் போற்றும்; நால் நிறத்த — நால்வகை ஸ்வரங்களையுடைய; வேதநாவர் — வேதங்களை நாவிலே உடைய வைதிகர்கள்; நல்ல யோகினால் — நல்ல உபாயத்தினாலே; வணங்கு — வணங்கும்; பால் நிறக் — திருப்பாற் கடலிலே; கடல் கிடந்த — பள்ளிகொண்டிருக்கும்; பற்பநாபன் அல்லையே — பத்மநாபன் நீயேயன்றோ!
