மன்னியதாமரை மாமலர்ப்பூத்து * அம்மலர்மேல்
முன்னந்திசைமுகனைத் தான்படைக்க *

2717. The god created a shining lotus on his navel and the four-headed Brahmā on it. (5)

தன் நாபி வலயத்து — தன் நாபீ கமலத்தில்; பேர் ஒளி சேர் — சிறந்த ஒளி பொருந்தியதும்; மன்னிய — என்றும் அழியாததுமான; தாமரை — தாமரைப்பூவை; மா மலர் பூத்து — மலரச்செய்து; அம் மலர் மேல் — அந்த மலர் மேல்; முன்னம் — முதல் முதலாக; திசை முகனை — நான்முகக் கடவுளைத்; தான் படைக்க — தான் ஸ்ருஷ்டிக்க

than nābi valayaththu — in the region of his navel; pĕr ol̤i sĕr — being with great radiance; manniya thāmarai māmalar pūththu — making the forever indestructible lotus flower to blossom; a malar mĕl — atop that lotus flower; munnam thisaimuganaith thān padaikka — even as he created brahmā during the time of creation (after deluge)
