முன்னி முளைத்து — முன் நின்று முளைத்தெழுந்து; எழுந்து ஓங்கி — வளர்ந்து எழுந்த; ஓளி பரந்த மன்னிய பூம் — ஒளி வீசும் அழகாக விளங்கும்; பெண்ணை மடல் — பனைமடலைக் கொண்டு; ஊர்வன் — மடலூரக்கடவேன்

munni — standing up front; mul̤aiththu ezhundhu ŏngi ol̤i parandha manniya pū peṇṇai madal — ī will engage with madal from beautiful, firm and splendorous palm leaf which has been taken from a well sprouted, high grown pam tree.
