கண்ணன் கழலிணை எண்ணுக

2671 இப்போதும் இன்னும் இனிச்சிறிது நின்றாலும் *
எப்போதும் ஈதேசொல் என்னெஞ்சே! - எப்போதும்
கைகழலாநேமியான் நம்மேல்வினை கடிவான் *
மெய்கழலேயேத்தமுயல். (2)

Simple Translation

2671. O my heart, whether it is now or another time, if you always praise him who carries a discus he will remove our karmā. Always praise his ankleted feet.

என் நெஞ்சே! — என் மனமே!; நம்மேல் வினை — நம்மிடத்திலுள்ள பாவங்களை; கடிவான் — போக்குவதற்காக; எப்போதும் — எப்போதும்; கை கழலா — கையை விட்டு நீங்காத; நேமியான் — சக்கரத்தையுடை பெருமானின்; மொய் கழலே — அழகிய திருவடிகளை; ஏத்த முயல் — துதிக்க முயற்சிசெய்வாயாக; இப்போதும் — இப்போதும்; இன்னும் இனிச் சிறிது — வருங்காலத்திலும்; நின்றாலும் — ஆக எந்த காலத்திலும்; எப்போதும் — எப்போதும் இதுவே உனக்கு நான்; ஈதே சொல்! — சொல்லும் ஹிதோபதேசமாகும்
