2647 பின்துரக்கும்காற்றிழந்த சூல்கொண்டல்பேர்ந்தும் போய் *
வன்திரைக்கண் வந்தணைந்தவாய்மைத்தே * - அன்று
திருச்செய்யநேமியான் தீயரக்கிமூக்கும் *
பருச்செவியுமீர்ந்தபரன்.

Simple Translation

2647. The highest lord with a divine discus in his hand, cut off the nose and the ears of the evil Raksasi Surpanaha in the forest and then went to the ocean rolling with strong waves to rest on Adisesha. He looked like a dark cloud filled with water blown by the wind as it floats in the sky and then falls to the ocean.

சூல்கொண்டல் — வானில் பரவும் நீருண்ட மேகத்தை; காற்று பின் — காற்று பின்னால்; துரக்கும் — தள்ளும் அதனால்; இழந்த — மேகம் கடலில் போய்ச்சேருவது போல்; திருச் செய்ய — அழகிய சிவந்த; நேமியான் — சக்கரத்தையுடையவனும்; தீ அரக்கி — கொடிய அரக்கியான சூர்ப்பனகையின்; மூக்கும் — மூக்கையும்; பருச் செவியும் — பருத்த காதுகளையும்; அன்று ஈர்ந்த பரன் — அன்று அறுத்த பெருமான்; பேர்ந்தும் போய் — ராவண வதத்துக்குப் பின்; வன் — அவதார காரியம் முடித்த பின்; திரைக்கண் — அழகிய பாற்கடலில்; வந்து அணைந்த — வந்து சேர்ந்தபடியை; வாய்மைத்தே — ஒத்திருக்கின்றது
