2630 நான்கூறும் கூற்றாவதுஇத்தனையே * நாள்நாளும்
தேங்கோத நீருருவன்செங்கண்மால் * - நீங்காத
மாகதியாம்வெந்நரகில் சேராமல்காப்பதற்கு *
நீகதியாநெஞ்சேநினை.

Simple Translation

2630. The ocean-colored Thirumāl with beautiful eyes is our refuge and will not leave us. He protects us so we will not fall into cruel hell. O heart, think always of him who is your only refuge— this is the the best advice I can give you.

தேங்கு — தேங்கி இருக்கும்; ஓத நீர் — கடலின் நிறம் போன்ற; உருவன் — நிறமுடையவனும்; செங் கண் — சிவந்த கண்களையுடையவனுமான; மால் — பெருமான்; நீங்காத — என்னைப் பிரியாதவனாயும்; மா — எனக்கு ஒரு; கதி ஆம் — உபாயமாகவும் இருக்கிறான்; வெம் — கொடிய; நரகில் — நரகமான சம்சார சாகரத்தில்; சேராமல் — தள்ளாமல்; காப்பதற்கு — காப்பதற்கு; கதி ஆம் — அவனே உபாயம்; நீ நெஞ்சே! — மனமே! நீ அவனை; நினை — ஒரு நாளும் மறவாதே; நான் நாள் நாளும் — நாள்தோறும் நான் உனக்கு; கூறும் கூற்றாவது — சொல்லும் சொல்லானது; இத்தனையே — இதுவே
