கண்ணன் அருளால் இவ்வுலகம் என்றும் இருக்கும்

2625 வலியமெனநினைந்து வந்தெதிர்ந்தமல்லர் *
வலியமுடியிடியவாங்கி * - வலியநின்
பொன்னாழிக்கையால் புடைத்திடுதிகீளாதே *
பல்நாளும்நிற்குமிப்பார்.

Simple Translation

2625. The wrestlers sent by Kamsan thought they were stronger than you and opposed you, but you cut off their heads with the discus in your hand and killed them. Do not stop doing your heroic deeds. There are always Asurans like them in the world.

வலியம் என — நாமே பலசாலி என்று; நினைந்து — நினைத்து; வந்து எதிர்ந்த — வந்து எதிர்த்து நின்ற; மல்லர் — மல்லர்களை; வலிய — வலிமையான; முடி இடிய — தலைகள் சிதற; நின் பொன் — உன் பொன் போன்ற; ஆழிக் கையால் — சக்கரக் கைகளால்; புடைத்திடுதி — இழுத்து; வாங்கி — அடித்து அழித்தாய்; வலிய — வலிமை படைத்த உன் திறமையை கண்டும்; இப் பார் — இந்த உலகம்; கீளாதே — மாய்ந்து போகாமல் இன்னும்; பல் நாளும் நிற்கும் — ஜீவித்திருக்கிறதே! என்ன நெஞ்சோ!

valiyam ena ninaindhu — thinking that only we are strong; vandhu — coming (to fight); edhirndha — opposing; mallar — wrestlers (by the names of chāṇūra and mushtika); valiya mudi — powerful heads; idiya — falling as if struck by lightning; vāngi — seiśing; pon āzhi — donning the beautiful disc; un — your; valiya kaiyāl — powerful divine hands; kīl̤ādhĕ — instead of tearing; pudaiththidudhi — you beat them (till the hands started aching); ippār pal nāl̤um niṛkum — this earth stabilised for a long time
