கண்ணனால் மனத்துன்பத்தை மாற்றினேன்

2609 ஆரானுமாதானும்செய்ய * அகலிடத்தை
ஆராய்ந்து அதுதிருத்தலாவதே? * - சீரார்
மனத்தலை வன்துன்பத்தைமாற்றினேன் * வானோ
ரினத்தலைவன்கண்ணனால்யான்.

Simple Translation

2609. People may do whatever they wish. Who can change this wide earth? Kannan, the god of the gods in the sky gave his grace to me and all the sorrows in my heart went away.

அகலிடத்தை — அகன்ற உலகிலுள்ளோர் காரியங்களை; ஆராய்ந்து அது — ஆராய்ந்து அவற்றை நம்மால்; திருத்தல் ஆவதே? — திருத்த முடியுமோ?; ஆரானும் — யாராவது; ஆதானும் செய்ய — எதையாவது செய்யட்டும்; சீர் ஆர் மனத்தலை — என் சிந்தனையில் தோன்றும்; வன் துன்பத்தை — பொறுக்கமுடியாத துன்பங்களை; வானோர் இன — நித்யஸூரிகளின்; தலைவன் — தலைவன்; கண்ணனால் — கண்ணன் தான் அகற்றினான்; யான் — அவனால் தான் நான்; மாற்றினேன் — துன்பங்களை அகற்றினேன்
