எவ்வுயிர்க்கும் தாய் தந்தை திருமாலே

2607 இளைப்பாயிளையாப்பாய் நெஞ்சமே! சொன்னேன் *
இளைக்கநமன்தமர்கள் பற்றி - இளைப்பெய்த *
நாய்தந்துமோதாமல் நல்குவான்நல்காப்பான் *
தாய்தந்தையெவ்வுயிர்க்கும்தான்.

2607. O heart, he is the father and mother of all creatures and will give us his grace and protect us when we are feeble and the messengers of Yama come bringing their dogs and make them bark at us. O heart, do not worry, do not worry.

நெஞ்சமே! — ஓ மனமே!; நமன் தமர்கள் — யமபடர்கள்; மோதாமல் நாய் தந்து — ஏவும் நாய்களிடம்; இளைக்க பற்றி — தளர்ந்து சிக்கி; இளைப்பு எய்த — தவித்த நம்மை; நாய்களிடம் — நாய்களிடத்திலிருந்து; நல்குவான் — காப்பாற்றுகிறான்; எவ்வுயிர்க்கும் — எல்லா உயிர்களுக்கும்; தான் — அவனே; தாய் தந்தை — தாயும் தந்தையுமாய்; நல்காப்பான் — நம்மைக் காப்பவன் என்ற உண்மையை; சொன்னேன் — சொன்னேன் நம்பிக்கையுடன்; இளைப்பாய் — இருந்தால் இனி நீ சுகப்படுவாய்; இளையாப்பாய் — அநர்த்தப்படாமலிருப்பாய்

naman thamargal̤ — the messengers of yama; il̤aikka paṝi — making (the chĕthanas) to be wiśened even as they seiśe; il̤aippu eydha — to become weaker further; nāy thandhu mŏdhāmal — preventing the dogs (in hell) from hurting us; nalguvān — whether he (emperumān) protects; nalgāppān — or does not protect; evvuyirkkum — for all creatures; thān thāy thandhai — he himself is the mother and the father; il̤aippāy — whether you become infirm (by not attaining him); il̤aiyāppāy — or do not become infirm (by attaining him); sonnĕn — ī instructed you (this secretive message)
