திருமாலே! ஐம்பெரும் பூதங்களும் நீயே

2595 நாழாலமர்முயன்ற வல்லரக்கனின்னுயிரை *
வாழாவகைவலிதல்நின்வலியே * - ஆழாத
பாரும்நீவானும்நீ காலும்நீதீயும்நீ *
நீரும்நீயாய்நின்றநீ.

2595 nāzhāl amar muyaṉṟa * val arakkaṉ iṉ uyirai *
vāzhāvakai valital niṉ valiye? ** āzhāta

Simple Translation

2595. You are the earth, the sky, the wind, fire and the ocean. You, mighty one, fought heroically with Rāvana when he opposed you and you killed him.

ஆழாத பாரும் நீ — நீரில் மூழ்காமலிருக்கும் பூமியும் நீ; வானும் நீ காலும் நீ — ஆகாசமும் நீ காற்றும் நீ; தீயும் நீ நீரும் நீ ஆய் — அக்னியும் நீ ஜலமும் நீ; நின்ற நீ — ஆன பஞ்ச பூதங்களாய் உடைய நீ; நாழால் அமர் — அஹங்காரத்தினால் யுத்தம் செய்ய; முயன்ற வல் அரக்கன் — முயன்ற கொடிய ராவணனின்; இன் உயிரை — இனிய உயிரை; வாழாவகை — வாழ்ந்திருக்க ஒட்டாமல்; வலிதல் — அழித்தது உன் வலிமையே; நின் வலியே — உன் வீரத்தை என்ன என்பேன்?

āzhādha pārum nī — you are the earth which does not submerge in water and which floats; vānum nī — you are the ethereal layer too; kālum nī — you are wind too; thīyum nī — you are fire too; nīrum nī — you are water too; āy ninṛa nī — you are the antharāthmā (indwelling soul) for all these; nāzhāl — due to his pride; amar muyanṛa — one who fought with you; val arakkan — the powerful demon rāvaṇa; in uyirai — (his) dear life; vāzhā vagai validhal — hurting (that rāvaṇa) such that he could not live; nin valiyĕ — is it any great skill (for you)?
