இடையன் (அரைகுறையாக) வெட்டிய மரம் போல்

2027 படைநின்ற பைந்தாமரையோடு * அணிநீலம்
மடைநின்றலரும் வயலாலிமணாளா! *
இடையனெறிந்தமரமே ஒத்திராமே *
அடையஅருளாய் எனக்குஉன்தனருளே.

Simple Translation

2027. You are the Manālan of Vayalāli (Thiruvāli) where beautiful neelam flowers bloom near the water filled with lovely blossoming lotuses. I should not suffer like a tree cut down by a shepherd and thrown away. Give me your grace so I may reach you.
