எம்பெருமானைக் காணாதார் கண் கண்ணல்ல

2012 நீள்நாகம்சுற்றி நெடுவரைநட்டு * ஆழ்கடலைப்
பேணான்கடைந்து அமுதம்கொண்டுஉகந்தபெம்மானை *
பூணாரமார்வனைப் புள்ளூரும்பொன்மலையை *
காணாதார்கண்என்றும் கண்ணல்லகண்டாமே. (2)

2012 ## nīl̤ nākam cuṟṟi * nĕṭu varai naṭṭu * āzh kaṭalaip
peṇāṉ kaṭaintu * amutam kŏṇṭu ukanta pĕmmāṉai **
pūṇ āra mārvaṉaip * pul̤ ūrum pŏṉ malaiyai- *

Simple Translation

2012. The dear lord whose chest is adorned with jewels shines like a golden hill and rides on the bird Garudā. He used Mandara mountain as a churning stick and the snake Vāsuki as a rope, churned the milky ocean, took the nectar from it and gave it to the gods. If devotees have not seen him, their eyes are not truly eyes.
