O Lord of Viṟṟuvakkōṭu surrounded by vast paddy-fields, which the fish watch! Even though You will not look in my direction, I have no attachment other than attachment for You. I have been like the subjects who live looking up to the sceptre of the garlanded king, whatever the grief he gives [them] by not looking after [them].
