உன் பற்று அல்லால் வேறு பற்றில்லை

690 மீன்நோக்கும்நீள்வயல்சூழ் விற்றுவக்கோட்டம்மா! * என்
பால்நோக்காயாகிலும் உன்பற்றல்லால்பற்றில்லேன் *
தான்நோக்காது எத்துயரம்செய்திடினும் * தார்வேந்தன்
கோல்நோக்கிவாழும் குடிபோன்றிருந்தேனே.

690 mīṉ nokkum nīl̤ vayal cūzh * vittuvakkoṭṭu ammā * ĕṉ-
pāl nokkāyākilum * uṉ paṟṟu allāl paṟṟu ileṉ **

Simple Translation

690.O! god of Vithuvakkodu surrounded by fertile fields where fish swim ! Even if you don't look at me, I have no refuge except you. I am like the people, who depend on their king's authority and scepter even if he gives them trouble.

Detailed WBW explanation

O Lord of Viṟṟuvakkōṭu surrounded by vast paddy-fields, which the fish watch! Even though You will not look in my direction, I have no attachment other than attachment for You. I have been like the subjects who live looking up to the sceptre of the garlanded king, whatever the grief he gives [them] by not looking after [them].
