என்னைப் பயிற்றிப் பணி செய்யக்கொண்டான்

445 வயிற்றில்தொழுவைப்பிரித்து வன்புலச்சேவையதக்கி *
கயிற்றும்அக்காணிகழித்துக் காலிடைப்பாசம்கழற்றி *
எயிற்றிடைமண்கொண்டஎந்தை இராப்பகல்ஓதுவித்து * என்னைப்
பயிற்றிப்பணிசெய்யக்கொண்டான் பண்டன்றுபட்டினம்காப்பே.

445 vayiṟṟiṟ tŏzhuvaip pirittu * vaṉpulac cevai atakki *
kayiṟṟum akku āṇi kazhittuk * kāliṭaip pācam kazhaṟṟi **

Simple Translation

445. My lord who brought me from my mother’s womb helped me control the desires of my five senses, removed the craving of this body of nerves and flesh, and kept the messengers of Yama from binding me with ropes and taking me away. He taught me to become his devotee night and day and serve him. My body is not the same as it was. God is in it now and he protects me.

மண் — பூமியை; எயிற்றிடை — தன் கொம்பினிடத்தில்; கொண்ட — எடுத்த; எந்தை — என் அப்பன்; வயிற்றில் — கர்ப்பவாஸமாகிற; தொழுவை — சிறையை; பிரித்து — கழித்து; புலம் — இந்திரியங்களாகிற; வன் சேவை — வலிய காளைகளை; அதக்கி — அடக்கி; கயிற்றும் அக்கு — நரம்பும் எலும்புமான; ஆணி கழித்துக் — ஸ்தூல சரீரத்தை நீக்கி; காலிடைப் பாசம் — காமப்பிணிப்யையும்; கழற்றி — போக்கி; இராப் பகல் — இரவும் பகலும்; ஓதுவித்து — நல்லறிவைப் போதித்து; என்னைப் பயிற்றி — என்னை பயிலச்செய்து; பணி — நித்திய கைங்கர்யம்; செய்ய — பண்ணும்படி; கொண்டான் — என்னை ஆட்கொண்டான்; பண்டு அன்று — என் ஆத்மாவும் சரீரமும் முன்புபோல் அன்று; பட்டினம் காப்பே — கடவுளால் காப்பாற்றப்பட்டுள்ளது

kŏṇṭa — He lifted; maṇ — the earth; ĕyiṟṟiṭai — with His tusks; ĕntai — my Father; pirittu — He tears; tŏḻuvai — the prison; vayiṟṟil — that is the womb; atakki — He subdues; vaṉ cevai — the strong bulls; pulam — that are the senses; āṇi kaḻittuk — He eliminates the gross body; kayiṟṟum akku — made of nerves and bones; kaḻaṟṟi — and erases; kāliṭaip pācam — the lustful attachment; otuvittu — He imparts good wisdom; irāp pakal — day and night; ĕṉṉaip payiṟṟi — trains me; kŏṇṭāṉ — took possesion of me; cĕyya — and make me do; paṇi — service to Him; paṇṭu aṉṟu — my soul and body are no longer as they once were; paṭṭiṉam kāppe — they have been protected by the Lord
