துழாயலங்கல் நாரணன்

290 நாடும்ஊரும்அறியவேபோய் நல்லதுழாயலங்கல்
சூடி * நாரணன்போமிடமெல்லாம் சோதித்துழிதருகின்றாள் *
கேடுவேண்டுகின்றார்பலருளர் கேசவனோடிவளை *
பாடுகாவலிடுமினென்றென்று பார்தடுமாறினதே.

290 nāṭum ūrum aṟiyave poy * nalla tuzhāy alaṅkal
cūṭi * nāraṇaṉ pom iṭam ĕllām * cotittu uzhi tarukiṉṟāl̤ **
keṭu veṇṭukiṉṟār palar ul̤ar * kecavaṉoṭu ival̤ai *

Simple Translation

290. She wears fragrant thulasi garlands and goes to all the cities and lands where Nārāyanān stays and searches for him. There are many who entertain bad thoughts Confused, they say, “ She is close to Kesavan. Keep her in a guarded place, under watch” Why is the world like this?

நாடும் ஊரும் — நாட்டிலுள்ளோரும் ஊரிலுள்ளோரும்; அறியவே போய் — அறியும்படியாக; நல்ல துழாய் அலங்கல் சூடி — திருத்துழாய் மாலை சூடிக்கொண்டு; நாரணன் — கண்ணன்; போம் இடம் எல்லாம் — போகும் இடமெல்லாம்; சோதித்து உழிதருகின்றாள் — தேடித்தேடி திரிகிறாள்; கேடு — எங்களுக்கு கேடு; வேண்டுகின்றார் — வர வேண்டுமென நினைப்பவர்கள்; பலர் உளர் — பலபேர் உள்ளனர்; கேசவனோடு — கண்ணனோடு; இவளை — திரிகிற இவளை; பாடுகாவல் — நெருக்கமாகக் காவலில்; இடுமின் என்று என்று — வையுங்கள் என்று; பார் தடுமாறினதே — உலகோர் குழப்புகின்றனர்
