காக்கையை கண்ணனுக்குக் கோல் கொண்டுவர விளம்புதல் காலிப்பின் போகிறவன்

172 வேலிக்கோல்வெட்டி விளையாடுவில்லேற்றி *
தாலிக்கொழுந்தைத் தடங்கழுத்தில்பூண்டு *
பீலித்தழையைப் பிணைத்துப்பிறகிட்டு *
காலிப்பின்போவாற்குஓர்கோல்கொண்டுவா
கடல்நிறவண்ணற்குஓர்கோல்கொண்டுவா. (2)

Simple Translation

172. O crow, He cuts sticks from the fences, makes arrows and plays with the boys. He wears a chain with on his round neck and his head is adorned with peacock feathers. Bring a grazing stick for him as he goes behind the cattle, Bring a grazing stick for the one colored like the blue ocean.
