நப்பின்னை சிரிப்பாளே

160 பூணித்தொழுவினில்புக்குப் புழுதியளைந்தபொன்மேனி *
காணப்பெரிதும்உகப்பன் ஆகிலும்கண்டார்பழிப்பர் *
நாணெத்தனையுமிலாதாய்! நப்பின்னைகாணில்சிரிக்கும் *
மாணிக்கமே! என்மணியே! மஞ்சனமாடநீவாராய்.

160 pūṇit tŏzhuviṉil pukkup * puzhuti al̤ainta pŏṉ-meṉi *
kāṇap pĕritum ukappaṉ * ākilum kaṇṭār pazhippar **
nāṇ ĕttaṉaiyum ilātāy * nappiṉṉai kāṇil cirikkum *

Simple Translation

160. I may be happy to see your golden body smeared with dirt because you went into the shed where the cows are tied, played with them and made yourself dirty, but others will blame me when they see you. You are shameless! If Nappinnai sees you, she will laugh. O my diamond, my jewel, come and bathe in the fragrant turmeric water.
