106 துன்னியபேரிருள் சூழ்ந்துஉலகைமூட *
மன்னியநான்மறை முற்றும்மறைந்திட *
பின்னிவ்வுலகினில் பேரிருள்நீங்க * அன்று
அன்னமதானானே! அச்சோவச்சோ அருமறைதந்தானே! அச்சோவச்சோ.

106 tuṉṉiya perirul̤ * cūzhntu ulakai mūṭa *
maṉṉiya nāṉmaṟai * muṟṟum maṟaintiṭa **

Simple Translation

106. Once when thick darkness covered the world and all the four omnipresent Vedās disappeared, you became a swan and removed the darkness of the earth. Embrace me, achoo, achoo. You brought the divine Vedās back, achoo, achoo.

துன்னிய — நிரந்தரமான; பேரிருள் சூழ்ந்து — அஞ்ஞான இருள் சூழ்ந்து; உலகை மூட — உலகத்தை மூடிவிட; மன்னிய — அழிவில்லாத; நான்மறை — நான்கு வேதங்களும்; முற்றும் — முழுமையாக; மறைந்திட — மறைந்துவிட; பின் இவ் உலகினில் — பின்னால் இந்த உலகின்; பேரிருள் நீங்க அன்று — அந்தகாரம் விலக அன்று; அன்னம் அது — அன்னமாகத்; ஆனானே! — தோன்றியவனே!; அச்சோ! அச்சோ! — வராயோ வாராயோ!; அருமறை தந்தானே! — வேதங்களை மீட்டவனே!; அச்சோ! அச்சோ! — வாராயோ வாராயோ!
