63 மைத்தடங்கண்ணி யசோதைதன்மகனுக்கு * இவை
ஒத்தனசொல்லி உரைத்தமாற்றம் * ஒளிபுத்தூர்
வித்தகன்விட்டுசித்தன் விரித்ததமிழிவை *
எத்தனையும்சொல்லவல்லவர்க்கு இடரில்லையே. (2)

Simple Translation

63. Vishnuchithan, the poet from flourishing Villiputhur composed these Tamil pāsurams that describe how Yashodā with large eyes decorated with kohl, called the moon to come and play with her son. The devotees who recite all these pāsurams, will have no trouble in their lives.

மைத்தடங் — கருத்த பெரிய; கண்ணி — கண்களையுடையவளான; யசோதை தன் மகனுக்கு — யசோதை தன் மகனுக்கு; ஒத்தன சொல்லி — ஏற்றவைகளைச் சொல்லி; உரைத்த மாற்றம் — சந்திரனைக்குறித்துச் சொன்ன; ஒளிபுத்தூர் — தேஜஸையுடைய ஸ்ரீவில்லிபுத்தூர்; வித்தகன் விட்டுசித்தன் — ஸமர்த்தரான பெரியாழ்வார்; விரித்த — அருளிச்செய்த; தமிழ் இவை — தமிழ் பாசுரங்கள் இவை; எத்தனையும் — ஏதேனும் ஒருபடியாக; சொல்லவல்லவர்க்கு — ஓதவல்லவர்களுக்கு; இடர் இல்லையே — துன்பமொன்றுமில்லையே!

vittakaṉ viṭṭucittaṉ — Periyāzhvār; ŏl̤iputtūr — the one with Tejas from Sri Villiputhur; viritta — had blessed us with; tamiḻ ivai — these Tamil hymns; yacotai taṉ makaṉukku — that describes Yashoda, who for her Son; maittaṭaṅ — with big and black; kaṇṇi — eyes; ŏttaṉa cŏlli — talks about the virtue; uraitta māṟṟam — and spoke of the Moon; cŏllavallavarkku — whoever recites them; ĕttaṉaiyum — in any way; iṭar illaiye — will be free from any suffering
