கண்ணன் திருக்குழல்கள்

42 அழகியபைம்பொன்னின்கோல் அங்கைக்கொண்டு *
கழல்கள்சதங்கை கலந்துஎங்குமார்ப்ப *
மழகன்றினங்கள் மறித்துத்திரிவான் *
குழல்கள்இருந்தவாகாணீரே குவிமுலையீர்! வந்துகாணீரே.

Simple Translation

42. Carrying a beautiful golden stick in His hands He runs behind baby calves as the lovely sound of his anklets spreads everywhere. O girls with round breasts, come and see His curly hair.

அழகிய பைம்பொன்னின் — அழகிய பசும்பொன்; கோல் — கோலை; அங்கைக் கொண்டு — அழகிய கையாலே பிடித்துக்கொண்டு; கழல்கள் — பாதக்கழல்களும்; சதங்கை கலந்து — சதங்கைகளும் சேர்ந்து; எங்கும் ஆர்ப்ப — எல்லா இடங்களிலும் சப்திக்க; மழ கன்றினங்கள் — இளம் கன்றுகளின் கூட்டங்களை; மறித்துத் திரிவான் — மடக்கி திரியும் கண்ணபிரானுடைய; குழல்கள் இருந்தவா காணீரே — தலைமுடி அழகைக் காணீரே!; குவிமுலையீர்! — அழகிய பெண்களே!; வந்து காணீரே! — வந்து காணீரே!
