Simple Translation

32. He (Kannan) pulled the huge mortar between two marudam trees and made them fall when Yashodā, tied Him to it. Come and see His chest ornamented with the shining Kaustubham ornament studded with large diamonds. O girls adorned with beautiful dresses, come and see His chest.

பெரு மா உரலில் — மிகப்பெரிய உரலோடு; பிணிப்புண்டு இருந்து — கட்டப்பட்டிருந்து; அங்கு இரு மா மருதம் — அந்நிலையிலே இரு மருதமரங்களை; இறுத்த இப்பிள்ளை — முறித்த இக்கண்ணபிரானுடைய; குரு மா மணிப்பூண் — மிகச்சிறந்த கௌஸ்துப ஆபரணம்; குலாவித் திகழும் — அசைந்தாடும்; திருமார்பு இருந்தவா — திரு மார்பின் அழகை; காணீரே — காண்பீரே!; சேயிழையீர்! — சிறந்த வஸ்திரமணிந்ததுள்ள பெண்களே!; வந்து காணீரே! — வந்து காணீரே!

aṅku iru mā marutam — once, two great Marudha trees; iṟutta ippil̤l̤ai — were tore down by Kannan; piṇippuṇṭu iruntu — by going inbetween them being tied to; pĕru mā uralil — a very large mortar; ceyiḻaiyīr! — women dressed in beautiful clothes!; kāṇīre — come and see!; tirumārpu iruntavā — the beauty of His chest; kuru mā maṇippūṇ — that has the great Kaustubha gem; kulāvit tikaḻum — which is moving and shining; vantu kāṇīre! — come and see!

avathārikai (Introduction)

Having been deeply immersed in the divine beauty and glories of Lord Kṛṣṇa’s sacred abdomen, the Āzhvār now elevates his divine contemplation, turning his blissful vision towards the Lord's magnificent and sacred chest. This is the very abode of Śrī Mahālakṣmī, the seat of all auspiciousness and the refuge for all souls.
