கண்ணீர் விடுகிறோமே! இரக்கம் இல்லையா?

527 பரக்கவிழித்தெங்கும்நோக்கிப் பலர்குடைந்தாடுஞ்சுனையில் *
அரக்கநில்லாகண்ணநீர்கள் அலமருகின்றவாபாராய் *
இரக்கமேலொன்றுமிலாதாய்! இலங்கையழித்தபிரானே *
குரக்கரசாவதறிந்தோம் குருந்திடைக்கூறைபணியாய்.

Simple Translation

527. O God who destroyed Lankā! Your eyes are wide open and you look everywhere. Can't you see the tears that flood our eyes, as we still stay inside the deep waters? Don't you have mercy? We wonder if you are the king of monkeys. Give us back the clothes you put on the kurundam tree.

avathārikai (Introduction)

Perceiving that the gopikās were steadfastly meeting every challenge He presented, the mischievous Kaṇṇan, in a display of His divine līlā, devises a new strategy to playfully heighten their distress. In their vulnerable state, the young maidens now articulate their complete helplessness, humbly beseeching Him to restore their garments.
