திருமாலை மனத்தால்தான் உணரலாம்

2365 உளனாய நான்மறையின்உட்பொருளை * உள்ளத்
துளனாகத் தேர்ந்துணர்வரேலும் * - உளனாய
வண்தாமரைநெடுங்கண் மாயவனை, யாவரே? *

Simple Translation

2365. People think of him and say, “He is the meaning of the four Vedās and he is in our hearts and we feel him, ” but who has seen the cool lotus-eyed Māyavan? How could one describe him in their poems?

நான்மறையின் — நான்கு வேதங்களில்; உட்பொருளை — உள்ள அதன் உள்ளுறைப்பொருளாக; உளனாய — இருக்கும் அவனை; உள்ளத்து — உள்ளத்தில்; உளனாக — இருப்பவனாக; தேர்ந்து — அறிய; உணர்வரேலும் — ஆசைப்பட்டாலும்; வண் — அழகிய; தாமரை — தாமரைப் பூ போன்ற; நெடும் — நீண்ட; கண் — கண்களையுடைய; மாயவனை — மாயவனான அவனை; உளனாய — உள்ளபடி; கண்டார் — பார்த்தவர்கள்; யாவரே — யாரேனும் உளரோ? எனில்; கவி — ஒருவரும் இல்லை கவிகள்; உகப்பர் — உகந்து பாடுவர்கள்

nānmaṛaiyin — the four vĕdhas’ (sacred texts; ul̤ porul̤ — the dwelling meanings; ul̤anāyavanai — emperumān who remains; ul̤l̤aththu ul̤anāga — staying inside the heart; thĕrndhu — knowing; uṇarvar ĕlum — if (a few wise people) desire to know; vaṇ thāmarai — like beautiful lotus flower; nedum kaṇ — having wide eyes; māyavan — as an amaśing entity; ul̤anāyavanai — that emperumān who remains; kaṇdār yāvarĕ — who has seen fully (none); kavi ugappar — they will merely praise him through hymns and feel happy.
