In this deeply moving pāśuram, the Āzhvār turns his attention inward, addressing his own heart (manas) with profound urgency. He exhorts his heart to cease its worldly wanderings and distractions, declaring that there is not a single moment to be squandered. The path to the supreme goal has been illuminated, and therefore, it must immediately and without any further delay, seek the refuge of Emperumān, Śrīman Nārāyaṇa.

நெஞ்சே - மனமே!
வாழி - (உனக்கு) நன்மையுண்டாகட்டும்
மலர் கொண்டு - பூவைக் கையில் கொண்டு
தூபம் கை ஏந்தி - புகையை கையிலே த4ரித்துக்கொண்டு
தொழுது - வணங்கி
