குற்றங்களையும் குணமாகக் கொள்பவன் ஆழியான்

2122 குன்றனையகுற்றம்செய்யினும் குணங்கொள்ளும் *
இன்றுமுதலாகவென்னெஞ்சே! * - என்றும்
புறனுரையேயாயினும் பொன்னாழிக்கையான் *

Simple Translation

2122. O my heart, even if our mistakes are as large as hills, the lord with a golden discus in his hand will not be angry with us. He will only feel happy for the good qualities that we have. From today, even if all the heroic deeds of the lord are only untrue gossip, you should always think of them as true and believe them.

என்! நெஞ்சே — என் மனமே!; இன்று முதலாக — இன்று முதலாக; என்றும் — என்றும் நீ கூறுவது; புறன் உரையே ஆயினும் — பொய்யேயானாலும்; பொன் ஆழி — சக்ரபாணியான; கையான் — எம்பெருமான்; திறன் உரையே — விஷயமானப் பேச்சையே; சிந்தித்திரு — சிந்தித்திரு அப்படியிருந்தால்; குன்று அனைய — மலைபோல் பெருத்த; குற்றம் செய்யினும் — குற்றங்கள் செய்தாலும்; குணம் — அவைகளை; கொள்ளும் — குணமாகவே கொள்வான்

en — my; nenjĕ — heart!; inṛu mudhalāga — starting from now; enṛum — at all times; puṛan uraiyĕ āyinum — even if it were spoken as a lip service; pon āzhikk kaiyān thiṛan uraiyĕ — matters related to emperumān who is holding the beautiful disc¬† on his hand; sindhiththu iru — keep meditating; kunṛu — looking like a hill; kuṝam seyyinum — if sins are committed; guṇam kol̤l̤um — (without considering such sins, emperumān) will only look at the good deeds.
