நெடுமாலே! எங்கள் சொற்குற்றங்களை மன்னித்துவிடு

2116 ஆறியவன்பில் அடியார்தமார்வத்தால் *
கூறியகுற்றமாக்கொள்ளல்நீ - தேறி *
நெடியோய்! அடி அடைதற்கன்றே * ஈரைந்து
முடியான்படைத்தமுரண்.

2116. O tall one, do not think that we are blaming you— what we say is because of our love for you. Didn’t the ten-headed Rāvana oppose you because he wanted to reach your feet?

ஆறிய அன்பில் — தணிந்த பக்தியில்லாத; அடியார் தம் — அடியவர்கள் தங்கள்; ஆர்வத்தால் — ஸ்நேகத்தால்; கூறிய — கூறிய சொற்களை; குற்றமா நீ கொள்ளல் — குற்றமாக நீ கொள்ளக்கூடாது; ஈர் ஐந்து முடியான் — பத்துத் தலை ராவணன்; படைத்த — செய்த தவற்றை; முரண் தேறி — கிரமமாகத் தெளிந்து; நெடியோய்! அடி — எம்பெருமானான உன் திருவடிகளை; அடைதற்கு — அடைவதற்கு; அன்றே — காரணமாயிற்றல்லவோ?

āṛiya anbu il — without the bhakthi which had simmered after reaching a crescendo; adiyār — followers; tham ārvaththāl — with their friendliness; kūṛiya — the words spoken; nī kuṝamāk kol̤l̤al — you should not mistake; īr aindhu mudiyān¬† — the ten headed rāvaṇan; padaiththa — carried out; muraṇ — enmity; thĕṛi — after clarifying; nediyŏy adi — the divine feet of emperumān; adaidhaṛku anṛĕ — did it not become a reason for attaining!
