396. Divine Thirukkandam is on the banks
of the Ganges with rolling waves
where paddy fields flourish
and rishis bathe and do powerful tapas.
It is in that Thiruppadi that Purushothaman, the king of Mathura,
stays who stopped the rain with Govardhanā mountain
using it as an umbrella when the thick clouds poured rain
with the sound “chala, chala” and thundered.
