இதயத்தில் மதுசூதனனை அமைத்து வழிபடு

376 அங்கம்விட்டவையைந்துமகற்றி
ஆவிமூக்கினில்சோதித்தபின்னை *
சங்கம்விட்டவர்கையைமறித்துப்
பையவேதலைசாய்ப்பதன்முன்னம் *
வங்கம்விட்டுலவும்கடற்பள்ளிமாயனை
மதுசூதனைமார்பில்
தங்கவிட்டுவைத்து * ஆவதோர்கருமம்சாதிப்பார்க்கு
என்றும்சாதிக்கலாமே.

376 aṅkam viṭṭu avai aintum akaṟṟi * āvi mūkkiṉiṟ cotitta piṉṉai *
caṅkam viṭṭu avar kaiyai maṟittup * paiyave talai cāyppataṉ muṉṉam **

Simple Translation

376. Before someone loses the sense of his eyes, nose, mouth, ears and touch, and before his breath ceases, and before he can no longer swallow the water given to him from a conch, and before his head sags to the side, if he thinks in his heart of the Māyan Madhusudhanan resting on the ocean, abundant with water, there is nothing that he cannot achieve.

அங்கம் விட்டவை — உடலை விட்டு அந்த; ஐந்தும் அகற்றி — பஞ்சபூதங்களும் அகன்றுபோக; ஆவி மூக்கினில் — மூக்கில் கையை வைத்து பிராணன்; சோதித்த பின்னை — இருக்கிறதா என்று சோதித்த பின்பு; சங்கம் விட்டவர் — இனி அவர் பிழைக்கமாட்டார் என்று; கையை மறித்து — கையை விரித்து; பையவே தலை — மெள்ள மெள்ள தலை; சாய்ப்பதன் முன்னம் — தொங்கவிடுவதற்கு முன்; வங்கம் விட்டு உலவும் — கப்பல்கள் பயணிக்கும்; கடற் பள்ளி — கடலில் சயனித்திருக்கும்; மாயனை — ஆச்சரியமான எம்பிரானை; மதுசூதனனை மார்பில் — மதுசூதனனை நெஞ்சில்; தங்க விட்டு — தங்கச் செய்து; வைத்து ஆவது ஓர் கருமம் — வைப்பது ஒரு பணி என; சாதிப்பார்க்கு — செய்பவர்களை; என்றும் சாதிக்கலாமே — என்றும் வணங்கலாம்
