சீற்றமிலாத சீதை மணாளன்

310 மாற்றுத்தாய்சென்று வனம்போகேஎன்றிட *
ஈற்றுத்தாய்பின்தொடர்ந்து எம்பிரான்! என்றுஅழ *
கூற்றுத்தாய்சொல்லக் கொடியவனம்போன *
சீற்றமிலாதானைப்பாடிப்பற சீதைமணாளனைப்பாடிப்பற.

Simple Translation

310. Mother-like Sumithra grieved, "Oh are you going to forest?, the one who begot him cried "Oh my dear son" Wicked mother Kaikeyi said "Go to forest' and Rāma went without anger. O, undi, fly singing his strength! Sing the glories of Sita's beloved!

மாற்றுத் தாய் சென்று — தாய் போன்ற சுமித்திரை; வனம்போகே — காட்டுக்கே போகிறாயே; என்றிட — என்று வருந்த; ஈற்றுத் தாய் — பெற்ற தாயான கௌசலை; பின் தொடர்ந்து — பின்னே சென்று; எம்பிரான்! — என் கண்மணியே!; என்று அழ — என்று அழ; கூற்றுத் தாய் சொல்ல — கைகேயியின் சொல்படி; கொடிய வனம் போன — கொடிய காடு சென்ற; சீற்றம் இலாதானை — கோபம் இல்லாத இராமபிரானின்; பாடிப் பற! — பெருமையை பாடுங்கள் பாராட்டுங்கள்!; சீதை — சீதையின்; மணாளனை — மணாளனின் பெருமையை; பாடிப் பற! — பாடுங்கள் பாராட்டுங்கள்!
