சிலிங்காரத்தால்குழல்தாழவிட்டுத்
தீங்குழல்வாய்மடுத்தூதியூதி *
அலங்காரத்தால்வருமாயப்பிள்ளை
அழகுகண்டுஎன்மகள்ஆசைப்பட்டு *
விலங்கிநில்லாதுஎதிர்நின்றுகண்டீர்

Simple Translation

262. On his left ear he wears a lovely thondri flower and his long hair is adorned with jasmine and forest mauval flowers. Seeing the beauty of the cowherd child, as he comes playing his flute, my daughter is in love with him. She stands before him without moving away and see, her lovely bangles become loose and she grows thin.
