88 மின்னுக்கொடியும்ஓர்வெண்திங்களும் சூழ்பரிவேடமுமாய் *
பின்னல்துலங்கும்அரசிலையும் பீதகச்சிற்றாடையொடும் *
மின்னில்பொலிந்ததோர்கார்முகில்போலக் கழுத்தினில்காறையொடும் *
தன்னில்பொலிந்தஇருடீகேசன் தளர்நடைநடவானோ.

88. He, Rishikesā, the bright one, wears a chain that shines like lightning, his waist is decorated with an arasilai ornament that shines like the white moon, he wears a silk dress and his dark cloud-like neck is adorned with the bright golden karai ornament that shines like lightning. He looks beautiful. Won’t He toddle?

மின்னுக் கொடியும் — மின்னல் கொடியும்; ஓர் வெண் திங்களும் — வெண்மையான சந்திரனும்; சூழ் பரிவேடமுமாய் — சுத்தி இருக்ககூடிய ஒளியும்; பின்னல் — இடுப்பில் பொற்பின்னலும் அரசிலை ஆபரணமும்; துலங்கும் — பளிச்சிடும்; பீதக — பீதாம்பரம் என்னும்; சிற்றாடையொடும் — சிறிய வஸ்திரமும்; மின்னில் பொலிந்தது — மின்னலின் பொலிவுக்கு; ஓர் கார்முகில் போல — ஒத்த காளமேகம் போல; கழுத்தினில் — கழுத்திலணிந்த; காறையொடும் — காறையென்னும் ஆபரணத்தோடும் கூடிய; தன்னில் — தன் இயற்கை அழகாலேயே; பொலிந்த — விளங்குகிற; இருடீகேசன் — இருஷீகேசன்; தளர்நடை நடவானோ! — அழகிய இளம் நடை நடவானோ!

miṉṉuk kŏṭiyum — the lightening; or vĕṇ tiṅkal̤um — and the white moon; cūḻ pariveṭamumāy — with the bright light that exists around; tulaṅkum — who is sporting; ciṟṟāṭaiyŏṭum — a small garment; pītaka — called peethamparam (a type of attire); piṉṉal — along with arasilai ornament that decorates Kannan's waist; iruṭīkecaṉ — Rishikesā (another name for Krishna); pŏlinta — known; taṉṉil — for His natural beauty; kāṟaiyŏṭum — wears a karai ornament; kaḻuttiṉil — around His neck; or kārmukil pola — that looks like dark cloud which matches; miṉṉil pŏlintatu — the luster of the lightening; tal̤arnaṭai naṭavāṉo! — wont He toddle!
