87 செக்கரிடைநுனிக்கொம்பில்தோன்றும் சிறுபிறைமுளைபோல *
நக்கசெந்துவர்வாய்த்திண்ணைமீதே நளிர்வெண்பல்முளையிலக *
அக்குவடமுடுத்துஆமைத்தாலிபூண்ட அனந்தசயனன் *
தக்கமாமணிவண்ணன்வாசுதேவன் தளர்நடைநடவானோ.

87 cĕkkariṭai nuṉikkŏmpil toṉṟum * ciṟupiṟai mul̤aip pola *
nakka cĕn tuvarvāyt tiṇṇai mīte * nal̤ir vĕṇpal mul̤ai ilaka **

Simple Translation

87. The small white teeth in his coral mouth shines like the crescent moon in the red sky. He blissfully rests on the snake bed. He is ornamented with a chain made of shell on his waist and a turtle-shaped pendant. Won't the sapphire-colored Kannan, the child of Vasudeva toddle?

செக்கரிடை — செவ்வானத்தில்; நுனிக்கொம்பில் — கொம்பின் நுனியிலே; தோன்றும் — காணப்படுகிற; சிறுபிறை — சிறிய பிறைச்சந்திரனாகிய; முளை போல — முளையைப்போல; நக்க செந்துவர் வாய் — சிரித்த சிவந்த வாயின்; திண்ணை மீதே — உதட்டின் மீது; நளிர் வெண்பல் — குளிர்ந்த வெண்மையாகிய பல்லின்; முளை இலக — முளைகள் தோன்ற; அக்குவடம் உடுத்து — சங்குமணி வடத்தைத் தரித்து; ஆமைத் தாலி — ஆமை வடிவ ஆபரணத்தை; பூண்ட — கழுத்திலணிந்து; அனந்தசயனன் — அனந்தாழ்வான்மேலே சயனிப்பவனும்; தக்க மா — அழகிய பெரிய; மணிவண்ணன் — நீலமணி போன்ற நிறமுடைய; வாசுதேவன் — ஸ்ரீவஸூதேவர் புத்திரன் கண்ணன்; தளர்நடை நடவானோ! — அழகிய இளம் நடை நடவானோ!
