திரிவிக்கிரமனே ஆயர் போரேறு

66 நம்முடைநாயகனே. நான்மறையின்பொருளே1
நாவியுள்நற்கமலநான்முகனுக்கு * ஒருகால்
தம்மனையானவனே! தரணிதலமுழுதும்
தாரகையின்னுலகும் தடவிஅதன்புறமும் *
விம்மவளர்ந்தவனே! வேழமும்ஏழ்விடையும்
விரவியவேலைதனுள்வென்றுவருமவனே! *
அம்ம! எனக்குஒருகால்ஆடுகசெங்கீரை
ஆயர்கள்போரேறே! ஆடுகஆடுகவே.

tammaṉai āṉavaṉe taraṇi talamuzhutum * tārakaiyiṉ ulakum taṭavi ataṉ puṟamum **
vimma val̤arntavaṉe vezhamum ezh viṭaiyum * viraviya velaitaṉul̤ vĕṉṟu varumavaṉe *

Simple Translation

66. You, our master, the essence of all the four Vedās, Once you retrieved the Vedās for Nānmuhan (Brahmā), seated on a beautiful lotus on your navel, with a mother's compassion. You towered high, crossing all the earth, the world of the stars and anything above them for Mahābali, conquered the elephant Kuvalayāpeedam and killed the seven bulls that came to fight with you. O dear one, shake your head and crawl for me once. You fought for the cowherds. Crawl, crawl.

நம்முடை நாயகனே! — எங்கள் தலைவனே!; நான்மறையின் — நான்கு வேதங்களுக்கும்; பொருளே! — பொருளாயிருப்பவனே!; நாவியுள் — நாபியில் நல்ல; நற்கமல — கமலமலரில் பிறந்த; நான்முகனுக்கு — பிரம்மாவுக்கு; ஒருகால் — ஓரு சமயம் வேதம் பறிபோனபோது; தம்மனை ஆனவனே! — தாய்ப்பாசத்துடன் அருளினவனே!; தரணி தலமுழுதும் — பூலோகம் முழுவதும்; தாரகையின் உலகும் — நக்ஷத்திரலோகம் முழுவதும்; அதன் புறமும் — அதற்கு அப்பாலும்; தடவி — திருவடிகளால் ஸ்பர்சித்து; விம்ம வளர்ந்தவனே! — திரிவிக்கிரமனாய் வளர்ந்தவனே!; வேழமும் — குவலயாபீடமென்ற யானையும்; ஏழ் விடையும் — ஏழு ரிஷபங்களும்; விரவிய — உன்னை தாக்க; வேலைதனுள் — வந்த சமயத்திலே; வென்று வருமவனே! — அவற்றை ஜெயித்து வந்தவனே!; அம்ம! எனக்கு ஒருகால் — கண்ணே எனக்காக ஒரு முறை; ஆடுக செங்கீரை — ஆடுக செங்கீரை; ஆயர்கள் போரேறே! — ஆயர்களின் போர்க்காளையே!; ஆடுக ஆடுகவே — ஆடுவாய் ஆடுவாய்!

nammuṭai nāyakaṉe! — o our Lord!; pŏrul̤e! — You are the essence; nāṉmaṟaiyiṉ — of the four Vedas!; ŏrukāl — once, when the vedas were lost; tammaṉai āṉavaṉe! — You restored them with motherly affection!; nāṉmukaṉukku — for Brahma; naṟkamala — who came the lotus born from; nāviyul̤ — Your navel; vimma val̤arntavaṉe! — You grew up as the divine protector (Trivikrama); taṭavi — by Your sacred feet went; taraṇi talamuḻutum — through the entire world; tārakaiyiṉ ulakum — in every realm of stars; ataṉ puṟamum — even beyond that; veḻamum — when the elephant named Kuvalayapida; eḻ viṭaiyum — and the seven bulls; velaitaṉul̤ — came towards; viraviya — to attack You; vĕṉṟu varumavaṉe! — You overcame them!; amma! ĕṉakku ŏrukāl — Kanna, for me once; āṭuka cĕṅkīrai — dance; āyarkal̤ poreṟe! — the great warrior of the cowherd tribe; āṭuka, āṭukave — dance, dance!
