2462 கதவுமனமென்றும் காணலாமென்றும் *
குதையும்வினையாவிதீர்ந்தேன் * - விதையாக
நல்தமிழைவித்தி என்னுள்ளத்தைநீவிளைத்தாய் *
கற்றமொழியாகிக்கலந்து.

Simple Translation

2462. I thought that if I could open the door of my mind and see you there, all my bad karmā would go away. You planted the seed of good Tamil in my heart and made it grow. You became that language itself that I have learned.

கற்ற — நான் கற்ற; மொழியாகி — தமிழ் மொழியின்; நீ — பொருளாக உள்ள நீ; கலந்து — என்னோடு கலந்து; நல் — நல்ல சிறந்த; தமிழை — தமிழ் பிரபந்தத்தை; விதை ஆக — விதையாக; வித்தி — விதைத்து; என் உள்ளத்தை — என் உள்ளத்தை; விளைத்தாய் — விளையும்படி பண்ணினாய்; மனம் — எம்பெருமானை அடைய மனம்; கதவு என்றும் — ஒரு தடை என்றும்; காணலாம் என்றும் — மனமே துணை என்றும்; குதையும் — குழப்பம் என்னும் பிரமை; வினை ஆவி — இல்லாதபடி; தீர்ந்தேன் — தவிர்த்தேன்
