2457. Songs, literature, stories, the Puranas, fire, the large sky, the laws of Manu that all the world follows, and the four Vedās are only the creation of Māyan’s māyā.

பாட்டும் முறையும் — இயலும் இசையும்; படு கதையும் — இதிஹாஸங்களும்; பல் பொருளும் — பல அர்த்தங்களுள்ள புராணங்களும்; ஈட்டிய தீயும் — செறிந்த அக்நியும்; இரு — விசாலமான; விசும்பும் — ஆகாசமும்; கேட்ட — கேட்ட; மனுவும் — மனுஸ்ம்ருதியும்; சுருதி — எழுதாமலே குருமுகமாக கேட்கப்பட்ட; மறை நான்கும் — நான்கு வேதங்களும்; மாயன் — ஆச்சர்ய சக்தியுடைய பெருமானின்; தன மாயையில் — ஸங்கல்பத்தினால் உண்டான; பட்ட தற்பு — தத்துவங்களாம்

pāttum muṛaiyum — musical and prosaic; padu kadhaiyum — ithihāsas (epics) which came about to describe the old narrations; pal porul̤um — purāṇas which describe many meanings; īttiya thīyum — agni (fire) which was created to have all five elements within it due to panchīkaraṇam (homogenisation of the five elements); iru visumbum — expansive sky (thus the five elements); kĕtta manuvum — manu smruthi which is spoken of in vĕdhas too; surudhi — the method of learning through uchchāraṇa and anuchchāraṇa (teacher saying once and disciples repeating the same three times); maṛai nāngum — the four vĕdhas; māyan than — one who has amaśing power, that emperumān’s; māyaiyil patta — through his sankalpa (will); dhaṛpu — have existence
