Simple Translation

2406. It was not right for you to come as a dwarf, cheat Mahābali, take his lands, and destroy the pride of the king who took a potion made of diamonds and thought no one could conquer him. What do you get by this sort of deed that destroys others?

மதியாது — உன் மேன்மையை மதிக்காத; வகையால் — மகாபலியிடமிருந்து தந்திரமாக; மண் கொண்டாய் — பூமியைப் பெற்றாய்; மற்றும் — மேலும்; வயிரம் — வயிரமாகிற ரத்னத்தை; வகையால் — ஔஷதாதி உபாயங்களாலே; குழைத்து — இளகச்செய்து; உண்ணும் — உண்பவனும்; தான் — தனக்கு மிஞ்சினவர்; என்னும் — ஒருவரும் இல்லை என்ற; மாவலி — அஹங்காரமான மகாபலியின்; வயிர வழக்கு — பகைமையை; ஒழித்தாய் — ஒழித்தாய்; மற்று — மேலும்; வகையால் — இவ்வாறு நீ செய்வதெல்லாம்; வருவது — அடியார்களை காக்கவே அன்றி; ஒன்று உண்டே? — வேறு ஒரு பிரயோஜனம் உண்டோ?

madhiyādhu — not considering this as a huge task; vagaiyāl — in the path of begging for alms; maṇ koṇdāy — you took the worlds from mahābali (a king who had seiśed all the worlds from indhra); maṝum — moreover; vayiram — gem like diamond; vagaiyāl — with the help of medicines; kuzhaiththu — softening it; uṇṇum — one who eats it; (adhanāl) thān ennum — one who has ego due to that and thinks of himself as bhagavān; māvali — mahābali’s; vayiram vazhakku — the inimical relationship; ozhiththāy — you removed; vagaiyāl — due to such activities of yours; varuvadhu onṛu uṇdĕ — is there any resultant benefit for you? (you are doing all these for the sake of your followers)
