ŏh ẏou the ḵing who is reclining in thiru vehkā!, and —

that he had, in previous time, (churned the ocean and) gave nectar (to dhĕvas) and was happy —

 who is the lord —

that he [emperumān] is like nectar —

 as the lord —

one who is our protector at all times —

knowing the entity which will always protect us —

saying -ŏh my master!- —

 ŏh one having dense hair plaits, dark divine body, and being my companion, saying all these, —

 saying -my strong elephant- (one who is having such activities) —

 as one who is having acts of an enjoyable elephant for me —

emperumān who does not have an end ever —

saying -ŏh the one who looks after my well-being!- —

having the heart with conviction that “it is only emperumān who is everything for us at all times” —

 at all times —

 at all times! —

 and, —

 and —

 always —

 ever —
